Since 2018, the archdiocese has been developing and implementing policies to address harassment, abuse and ethical conduct of persons employed or volunteering at the archdiocese or within its parishes to ensure the safety of individuals as well as the safeguarding of information and property. Parish representatives were appointed to assist the coordinator in ensuring transparency of communications and the application of diocesan policies and decrees on safe environments with its communities.

The parish representative for Safe Environments will communicate with employees and volunteers about the Code of Ethics and Conduct, the forms to be signed, and for police checks for those having roles where vulnerable persons may be involved and roles as determined by the diocese.
