Anointing of the Sick

This sacrament can take place either at the hospital, at the sick person’s residence, or during a parish Mass.

 

The Sacrament of the Sick is slowly ridding the negative aspect often associated with the ‘anointment of the sick’.  This sacrament is basically the imposition of the hands in silence, followed by the anointment with the oil of the sick that was blessed by the archbishop during the Chrism Mass, surrounded by all the priests, and in the presence of the assembled faithful.
